ERDF Project and Programme Management

S4W has a broad experience of EU Structural Funds. We have undertaken a range of Technical Assistance Projects, including for DCLG and Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership. We have secured funding and managed a range of capital and revenue projects ranging from Local Authorities to Enterprise Agencies and Universities. Most recently we project managed the creation of the John Smith Enterprise Hub in Derby and we are currently supporting Derbyshire County Council to project manage the Markham Vale Environment Centre extension and demand stimulation activity for the Digital Derbyshire programme.

Securing external investment

We have a considerable portfolio of securing external investment for both the public and private sectors. We have secured a broad portfolio of ERDF investment in project areas such as high speed broadband, innovation centres and managed workspace and business support activity. Recent achievements have included supporting Derbyshire County Council’s successful £14m application to the Enterprise Zone Capital Grant Fund and a £1m package of funding to extend an innovation centre.

Business Planning & Strategy

S4W has worked with a number of bodies on developing economic strategy and policy.  Most recently we supported Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership develop their Strategic Economic Plan, City Deal and EU Structural and Investment Strategy.  We have also undertaken economic policy work for a number of Local Authorities and for Arts Council England.
